Allium ursinum
Also known as wild garlic, this perennial is popular amongst foragers and typically reproduces by bulbs rather than seed. It is found in woodlands and usually grows in vast numbers. Its starry white flowers appear in early Spring, leading to a dense carpet of green and white accompanied by a distinctive garlic smell. It is a popular resource for many species of fly.
