Nettle Leaved Bellflower

Campanula trachelium

This relatively tall, robust perennial has serrated leaves which resemble that of a nettle. It is typically found in shadier spots such as woodlands and hedgerows. It has beautiful light violet, bell-shaped flowers with distinctive stamens inside which appear from July to August. It is popular amongst pollinators and often bees can be seen nestled inside the ?bellflower?.
