This low-growing perennial wildflower is notorious for brightening up Spring walks in woodlands and along hedgerows. It has distinct dark green glossy leaves which are somewhat heart-shaped. It boasts wonderful bright yellow flowers comprised of delicate oval petals. It is known to carpet the woodland floor and is loved by pollinators due to its early bloom.
