A tall perennial wildflower which is widespread. It thrives in damper areas such as pond margins and riverbanks. Its light pink flowers are loved by pollinators and provide a source of nectar deep into the summer. Also, the Elephant Hawk moth caterpillar uses the leaves as a food source from as early as June.
