Mouse-ear Hawkweed
Pilosella officinarum
This low-growing and mat-forming perennial has a similar appearance to the dandelion but is slightly rougher round the edges. It forms a basal rosette of green leaves with small white hairs, from which grows a singular yellow flower with maroon hues on the underside of petals. It thrives on drier soils such as wasteland and chalky sites.
