This low-growing, mat-forming annual is commonly found on dry grasslands, lawns and waste ground. It has trifoliate leaves and semi-erect stems which spread across the ground. It produces globular, and somewhat airy, flowerheads comprised of small, pale-yellow flowers. A nitrogen fixer that is popular amongst pollinators, making a good addition to diverse lawns.
