Veronica officinalis
This low-growing perennial herb is somewhat downy and forms mats. It is mainly found on acidic soils throughout grassland, heathland and light woodlands. Its pale pink flowers have distinct darker veins and can be seen from May to August. It is popular amongst pollinators and is especially loved by hoverflies.
