Germander Speedwell

Veronica chamaedrys

A low-growing, creeping, hardy perennial that is common throughout the UK. It is found in a range of places from hedgerows to woodlands, and grasslands to verges. Due to its creeping nature, it is usually forms dense mats that carpet the ground wherever it is found. It produces tiny vibrant blue flowers with a white centre or ?eye? which can be seen from as early as April.
