Bulbous Buttercup
Ranunculus bulbosus
This early bloomer is found in grasslands, especially chalk and limestone. It produces shallow yellow flowers that grow from a bulb-like corm at the base of the plant. It can be toxic to some livestock when fresh but is typically avoided by these selective grazers.
