Befitting its name, any plant grown and supplied by BritishFlora is from certified native provenance within the British Isles with the county of origin always known.

BritishFlora's absolute commitment to dealing only in authenticated indigenous plant material is motivated by both altruistic and ecological reasons:

• Altruistic because of a strong desire to preserve the nation's natural heritage.
• Ecological because the Company's core mission is to protect the regional and local genetic individuality of plants.

Unlike many aquatic suppliers, BritishFlora does not purchase any plant material from Holland. Neither does it hold, grow or supply any foreign stock at its nursery.

In consequence, all native plant materials supplied by BritishFlora are guaranteed free of pernicious common plant propagules such as Crassula, Azzola, Myriophylum Proserpinacoides and Elodea.
